St Martin\u2019s Day is associated with numerous traditions and folk customs. It is the last day before the Advent fast, when people are still allowed to enjoy a good feast and hold festivities. According to legend, in 371 Martin was elected Bishop of Tours, but he protested against his election. He hid in a goose pen to avoid being chosen as bishop. According to the legend, the geese gave him away with their cackling, so he was \u201cforced\u201d to accept the bishopric.\u00a0<br \/>\nWhether the story is true or not, the names of Bishop Martin and geese have long been linked. <strong>This weekend, lantern-making and a parade in the tunnel, a St Martin\u2019s Day good luck charm, goose-spotting and goose-making await you at Katica Farm.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Although we have already winterised some of our attractions, we still offer a hundred different activities for our visitors.
