She was pleased to see that there weren\u2019t all sorts of fizzy drinks here, so the children would drink the fresh fruit juice without any fuss.\u00a0
\nAfter a short while, everyone was staring listlessly at their empty plates. They\u2019d thought that if they had lunch on the restaurant\u2019s terrace, this wouldn\u2019t happen, but the fresh air and the delicious food had done their job. The mouth-watering cream dessert would have to be saved for afternoon tea. They all agreed it would be a shame to miss out on it. They\u2019ll rest for a few more minutes whilst Mum and Dad finish their coffee, then they\u2019ll throw themselves back into the adventure and set off for the knight\u2019s castle.<\/p>\n

The simple palisade fortress seems to grow larger and larger as they approach\u2026.

\nBut as you step through the great gate, a truly medieval atmosphere takes hold of everyone. Young people in armour practise jousting and throw spears at targets. It\u2019s Medieval Weekend, as you\u2019ve heard. It\u2019s the sort of event where everyone can take part in a little time travel. You can try on the armour, have a go at archery, and even try your hand at throwing a battle star. Naturally, we have to try everything. Whilst the monk initiates the little ones into the secrets of the Middle Ages, Mum and Dad act out the scene of the princess held captive in the castle tower and her rescuer.
\n\u201eCome on, the view is wonderful from here,\u201d Mum called to the children.
\nThey were just standing there, gazing in wonder, when a strange sound broke the idyll:<\/p>\n
COW MILKING<\/h2>\n

\nThen that familiar tune\u2026 \u201eThe demonstration milking is about to begin at the milking parlour,\u201d they hear.
\nDad\u2019s always boasting that he used to milk cows at Grandma\u2019s when he was a child; we\u2019ll see about that\u2026
\nPiros is barking impatiently at the gate, and as soon as it opens, he sets off for the milking parlour. They\u2019re waiting for the contestants; unfortunately, Dad has to take an important phone call, so it\u2019s up to \u00d6csi to prove that he really can milk a cow!\u00a0
\nIt\u2019s starting to get chilly \u2013 time to head home!\u00a0
\nThey are slowly making their way to the car park.
\nFrom the car, Mum keeps glancing back as they drive past the pastures.\u00a0
