Everyone’s favourite is back: the Medieval Weekend!
We have an event that many people are already looking forward to – and it’s great to see that. The Medieval Weekend It has become one of the most popular events of recent times, so naturally It will be back in July as well.
On 4–5 July, you can once again step into the world of knights, damsels and brave warriors. What’s more, we have a range of creative activities in store for the whole family: We’ll also be showcasing coat-of-arms painting, battle-star and javelin throwing, archery, and a spectacular catapult demonstration, which offers a unique experience every time.

Find out how little animals are made from wool!
As you’ve come to expect, this summer you’ll have the chance to get a glimpse of some special into the world of crafts.
On the second weekend of July, a truly versatile natural material will take centre stage: wool’s.
With the help of Enikő Farkas Turi, you can learn the basics of felt-making, you can find out how sheep’s wool is turned into a soft, malleable material, and make your own your little pets too.

One of the best times of the year is here: Longer days, a bit of sunshine, and spring half-term is finally here! If you’d like to get away from the daily grind and spend some meaningful, adventure-filled days together, then we’ve got some good news… we’ve got everything you need! Stay tuned, because we’re about to reveal what we’ve got in store for you over the holidays!
We’ve got loads of craft activities in store for you: They could make chicks, bunnies, Easter lambs and lots and lots of spring decorations. And, of course, there’ll be plenty of fun and games too, our outdoor and indoor attractions They’ll be waiting for you all day. And if that weren’t enough, our little lambs The staff at the pet shelter can’t wait to meet you!
But we won’t give everything away – come along and discover the whole range of events for yourselves!

This weekend, you can find yourselves transported to a whole different world: they can gain an insight into everyday life in the Middle Ages, which wasn’t actually as bleak as people say.
Coat of arms painting, archery, fencing lessons, spinning top and shuttlecock throwing, and catapult demonstration makes for a truly exciting weekend. As well as the activities, there’ll of course be plenty of the usual games too, as you can choose from over 100 attractions, whether it’s outdoor adventures or indoor fun.

Spring officially begins on 20 March – Nature is coming to life, the buds are bursting open, and at last we can enjoy the first, warming rays of the sun. At this time of year, Katica Tanya also comes alive: more and more outdoor game starts up again and runs from weekend to weekend with exciting activities We’re looking forward to seeing you. Come along and join us!
Water, the source of life, is an essential part of nature and our lives. To mark World Water Day (22 March), we look forward to welcoming you to our craft workshops this weekend: a colourful picture of little fish, as well as one that, a raft made from cork stoppers you can also build one that can actually take to the water.

In the run-up to the holiday, Easter weekend We’re holding it at Katica Farm! The highlight of the weekend is the egg painting stands where various painting techniques You can give it a go and create some truly special, one-of-a-kind pieces. Come along and let’s practise together, so you definitely won’t be left empty-handed when the water-sprinklers arrive – Ildikó Majorné Szabó will be on hand to offer expert guidance!

It’s time to shake off the last traces of winter and give yourselves over to the the fresh vigour of spring. The sunshine, the chirping birds and the lengthening days all tell us that: Let's head outdoors! Here, we have everything you need for a family day out close to nature and full of fun experiences.
Come and celebrate the arrival of spring with us, and take part in something a bit out of the ordinary – bird ringing!
A sure sign of the fine weather ahead is the sound of birdsong. If you love these lovely little birds too, now’s your chance to get to know them a bit better our bird-ringing programme! Keep an eye on how things are going, and you might just be able to greet your new friends as old acquaintances next time.
Of course, we’ve also thought of those who want to get creative: they can make a spring-themed window decoration or bookmark, which will help you bring a real spring atmosphere into your home!

To mark our national holiday and eco-weekend, we look forward to welcoming every member of the family with a variety of outdoor and indoor activities!
Nature is coming to life, and so is Katica Tanya. This weekend Our Matyi train and Our barrel trailer is setting off once more to take young and old alike on a fun ride. The bravest among them will on an electric go-kart track they can also put themselves to the test – the course operates independently of the Adventure Centre, right until dusk.
On 15 March, with hearts filled with festive spirit, we can pay tribute to the heroes of the revolution and the struggle for freedom, an occasion made all the more personal by a a hand-made cockade. Here, even that is possible – just as it’s possible for a roll of paper to turn into a tree! Isn’t that exciting?

Even in the final weeks of winter with exciting activities We’re getting everything ready for you at Katica Farm. Folk traditions, creative eco-crafts, delicious treats and plenty of games await you – whether you’re coming with family or friends.

„If Mátyás finds ice, he breaks it; if he doesn’t, he makes some,” as the saying goes. 24 February: Mátyás the Icebreaker’s Day, which is associated with numerous traditions, and we will be marking this special occasion in a light-hearted way on 21–22 February.
We’re weaving a net, We’ll „make” a pike and catch it too, but with an icebreaker board game We are also getting ready. According to folk tradition, Saint Matthias distributes the whistles for the birds, so that they may sing once more – from now on, we can look forward to spring with confidence.

During our eco-weekend, you’ll discover just how simple and fun it can be to environmentally conscious approach. At Katica Farm, it has always been important to us to operate responsibly: most of our attractions do not use any energy sources, and where they do, we generate it from renewable sources.
This weekend, at our craft workshops We shape the trees of the „fairy-tale forest” from paper rolls, mill we make, pencil holder we create, and caterpillars made from egg cartons We can admire these too. We’ll show you how materials that have already been used once can be turned into exciting new toys – with your creativity.

Carnival is the on driving away winter and the Waiting for spring says – and we won’t let the cold stop us! Join us for the Télkergető carnival celebrations, where a busó mask and Carnival decorations they could make. Our doughnut-eating competition Don’t miss out: if you want to be the champion, brace yourself, because you’ve got some tough battles ahead!
Here, even the February cold is no obstacle! Various our indoor games are always available, whether it’s going down the slides, climbing the walls or having a good game of tag in our play mazes.

Over the coming weekends, Katica Farm will be hosting a range of activities that promise a special experience for young and old alike.
6–7 December – Father Christmas is coming
On 6 December, one of the most cherished days of the year, the Father Christmas is coming to visit us again this year. Anyone who has visited the Farm at this time of year knows what a special atmosphere surrounds this day: the children eagerly await its arrival, whilst the adults can relive the joy of that childhood anticipation.
We’ve got some lovely activities lined up until you arrive this afternoon:
• Baking bread in a wood-fired oven
• Visiting and feeding Bora, the youngest resident of the small animal shelter
• Making reindeer and snowflake window decorations using tweezers – for those who find joy in being creative

13–14 December – St Luke’s Day traditions
The following weekend evokes the world of folk traditions. Luca’s Day is one of our most significant days, as countless beliefs and traditions are associated with it: fertility rituals, divination, weather observations and the The famous legend of the Lucas Chair, which was made from seven pieces of wood by midnight on Christmas Eve.

To mark European Waste Reduction Week, we’re once again looking forward to welcoming you to Katica Farm with a special, environmentally conscious programme.
On 29 November, you’ll have the chance to take part in an experience that is at once communal, educational and has a real, tangible impact.
The aim of the event remains to raise awareness of waste prevention, reuse, recycling and conscious consumption.
It is important to us to show that economical, sustainable practices can be put into action not only in large-scale systems, but also in our own everyday lives. This is why it is particularly important to showcase local ideas, community initiatives and tried-and-tested practices, as together we can work much more effectively to protect our environment.
The aim, therefore, remains the same:
