If you’d like a snowman that’ll last, you can make one here using a plastic spoon, or you could even conjure up a reindeer from a cork. If you’re after angels, you can make them from paper lace here; or even an owl from a pine cone. Of course, we’re also thinking of those who still want to hold on to the Christmas spirit at this time of year – what better way to do so than when the scent of honeyed apples baking in the oven fills the room, or when you make a winter-themed stamp from decorative rubber so that the memories stay with you.

As we approach the for New Year's Eve, our mindset changes too, and when the last day of the year arrives, we find ourselves longing for nothing more than a wizard’s hat and a magic wand – which you can also make here with us. On the first day of January, we’ll give superstition and good luck another go, so you can join us in making your very own chimney sweep out of chenille wire.

What better way to start the year’s first newsletter than by wishing all our existing and future guests a happy and successful new year? With New Year’s resolutions behind us – or perhaps even having already broken them – it’s time to relax a little. We look forward to welcoming you every day during the winter break! And after the winter break, we’ll be open every weekend, from Friday to Sunday, welcoming you with our usual warm atmosphere and the with our exciting programmes.

There’ll be no shortage of craft activities in the first week of January: making lucky pigs and witches, crafting Three Kings puppets from wooden spoons and yarn, and moulding bird cakes await our visitors. And for those who haven’t tried it yet, this is your chance to learn the art of paper-making and writing with a quill pen.
