A significant proportion of our ancestors’ crafts have now become art forms. It is up to us to decide what the future holds for these craftspeople and the knowledge they possess. The first – and perhaps most important – step is to get to know them and their creations. The Katica Tanya programme series helps those interested to do just that.
This weekend Zoltán Gosztonyi, master woodcarverThose interested can meet him there. The Master of Folk Art conjures up decorative items – and even everyday objects – from wood, bone and horn. You may not be able to create such marvels, but you can make a little souvenir for yourself using traditional tools.
