Now that St Martin’s Day weekend is over, it’s finally time to get ready for winter!

 

As it starts to get dark earlier and the weather turns cooler, so I’m starting to enjoy curling up more now for all of us. The following create the perfect atmosphere for this: homemade decorations made together, which light up the whole flat!  

 

I’m sure you’ve all experienced what it’s like A pleasant feeling comes over you when you look at a beautifully decorated door or window… We won’t let down those who feel they have less creative energy within them but would still like to deck out their homes for the festive season either! Everyone belongs here, anyone who would like to have door and window decorations, candle holders and scented orange hangings in their home. 

 

Some of our outdoor games have already been winterised, but still a wealth of opportunities There are numerous types of exercise and games. Recommended for hide-and-seek champions the winding, twisting and tricky play mazes of our indoor slide centre: You’ll love every moment you spend here!

 

Let’s get in the mood for winter together with a weekend that’s perfect for the season with programmes!

In our adventure cave, you can discover a whole mini-world, ranging from logic puzzles to billionair hockey, the mini bowlingvia, the right up to trampolines and the up to wall-climbing You’ll find everything you need to enjoy some quality time.

What comes to mind when you think of autumn? For some, it’s the start of the school year; for others, it’s the sight of falling leaves and frost-kissed grass; but there are also those who immediately taste the flavours of autumn fruits on their tongues. Here at Katica Farm, we belong to that latter group!

 

It can be yellow, red, green, peeled, seeded or dried… This weekend at Katica Farm, fruit will take centre stage! 6–7 September We’re holding fruit days. As part of this, you can make a fruit garland, do some apple printing, and we’ll also be baking fruit in the oven. 

At Katica Farm, we take particular care to ensure that our games are suitable for all generations, which is why our outdoor water slide park It offers active leisure for all age groups. Just like the our electric go-kart track, where children under the age of 10 can race alongside their parents in two-seater go-karts. Stay tuned!

Forests are an essential part of our lives, which is why wood will take centre stage here too. On the second weekend of August, master woodcarver Zoltán Gosztonyi will be joining us to mark Crafts Day.

This weekend Everyone is welcome to try their hand at woodworking and see how skilled they are, The only limit is your imagination! Zoltán Gosztonyi, master woodcarver It also helps us to create beautifully carved wooden objects, each one more beautiful than the last. 

This natural, fragrant substance, which radiates a sense of calm, has been a part of human life since time immemorial. Forests are essential to our lives. They play a vital role in producing oxygen and purifying the air. That is precisely why One of our most important tasks is to replant trees and protect our existing woodlands and the environment.

On the last weekend of July, to mark Crafts Day, you’ll have the chance to try your hand at pottery! Éva Falusiné Terjék, a potter and folk artist, will be on hand to help you.

Pottery is an ancient craft that has been an important part of our craft culture for thousands of years. If you visit us, you can put your skills to the test on the potter’s wheel. Clay is one of the oldest natural materials, which has been with us for millennia. Why not join us in making a clay vase, a flower or even a plaque?. 

We warmly welcome anyone interested to our regular events on the last weekend of July. You can take part in cow milking, at petting zoos, or you can travel on the Matyi on the train.

Find out how little animals are made from wool!

As you’ve come to expect – and look forward to – we’ll be dedicating several weekends to helping you discover different crafts. The focus this time will be on sheep’s wool, a material with a wide range of uses. The process of working with it to create practical and decorative items is known as felting. This weekend, you’ll have the chance to make your very own little animal figurine.

At Katica Tanya, we offer a full day’s entertainment with over 100 attractions in the heart of Somogy. You can spend the whole day with us in the open air across 13 hectares. It’s worth setting off early so you can try out all our games.

As part of our ‘Day of Crafts’ series, this weekend you’ll have another chance to learn an old craft that was thought to have been forgotten. Our guest will be Veronika Illés, who will introduce us to the secrets of lace-making.

Veronika shows us how lace is made, or we can give it a go our dexterity.

Lace is a finely patterned fabric, characterised by the fact that the pattern is not applied to the finished fabric afterwards, but is created as the fabric is being made. The history of lace-making goes back a long way, and there are two basic types: sewn lace and bobbin lace. Lace-making has been included in the Hungarian Heritage Register and thus bears the title of ‘outstanding national treasure’.

At Katica Farm, alongside modern, environmentally conscious solutions, we consider it essential to preserve and practise traditions, and we hope you’ll be keen to join our lace-making programme. If you’d like to play as well as do some crafts, there are plenty of indoor activities and entertainment to choose from. Huge our indoor slide centre, our climbing walls and our wide range of indoor games They promise experiences you’ll remember for a lifetime.

 Don’t forget, we’re less than an hour’s drive from the southern shore of Lake Balaton. If you’ve had enough of Balaton, why not pop over to Patca, where more than 100 attractions await you, both indoors and outdoors.

On the first weekend of July, visitors to Katica Farm will once again find themselves transported back to the age of chivalry. As well as taking part in creative craft workshops, they can also watch a demonstration of a medieval catapult, which is always a special experience.

As part of the hugely popular Knights’ Weekend, on 5–6 July, there will be exciting and creative with programmes evoking the Middle Ages We look forward to welcoming the whole family. The medieval coat of arms painting We look forward to seeing you at the in the star-and-spear throwing event, and you’ll also have the chance to try your hand at archery! Following these exciting and creative activities, we’d like to draw your attention to the catapult demonstration too, which offers visitors a truly special experience every single time!

And after your journey back to the Middle Ages, race back to the present day at our electric go-kart track! Go-karting is safe for both younger and older children: young children can race in a two-seater go-kart alongside an adult. Of course There are also more than 100 outdoor and indoor attractions at your disposal, So, whatever the weather, fun is guaranteed at Katica Farm!

Find out how our grandmothers used to play with the toys they made themselves, and make your very own little horse!

The good news is that the whole family can now enjoy all our outdoor and indoor games! If the weather’s on our side, it’s well worth making the most of the outdoor games. Our bouncy hill and trampolines are a real adrenaline rush, whilst for those craving even more excitement, the electric go-kart our track.
As you’ve come to expect – and look forward to – we’ll be dedicating several weekends to helping you discover different crafts. The theme this time is making little horses – every little child’s favourite. And you’d never guess what all sorts of things you can use to make your newest little friend!

This time, you’ll get a glimpse into the secrets of a somewhat forgotten craft: rush weaving. Do pop in if you’d like to find out how this is turned into a little horse!

A clownish romp awaits you!

Appropriately, the theme of the day will be every little child's favourite, doll-making. Visit Ladybird Farm, discover how our grandmothers played with their handmade toys and make your own doll! Whether you're a boy, a girl or an adult, you'll enjoy this interactive activity led by Klára Rostás. If you don't choose to do crafts, there are lots of other activities and games waiting for you! We have 13 hectares of outdoor space for you to enjoy the spring air. Take a long walk on the lakeside or go boating on our lake.

Are you curious about what life was like in the Middle Ages? As part of the "Medieval Weekend", you can get a taste of everything from baking langalló to a demonstration of sheep shearing! 

We’ve got a surprise in store for the mums and grandmums of our young knights at Katica Farm to mark Mother’s Day. Don’t forget: we’re open on 1 May too!

I’m sure you’ve heard of the the Dark Ages? Here, you can get a taste of a world that wasn’t actually all that dark, but where everyday life seemed much tougher than it is today. At most, you’ll have to put up with the changeable weather, but we’re hoping for some glorious sunshine.

The weekend belongs to mums and grandmums. We know for certain that they, too, will find something interesting to do at the At Katica Farm, if you do come and visit us. The Making Mother’s Day postcards and pendants It may help you with your welcome, and we’ll also treat you to a little gift. 

What’s more, you can play an active part in putting up our maypole! Let’s celebrate 1 May together!

Get ready for Earth Day with us and make your own lucky acorns!

This weekend, you too can have your own lucky acorn! All you have to do is visit Ladybird Farm, where the only limit is your imagination.

And if you're not tired of painting, we'll show you how to turn a PET bottle into a printing press.

22 April is Earth Day, and you can do a lot for the environment and the future of our planet by recycling bottles that are already going to waste. It's just one day out of the year, but we want you to look after our shared habitat not just today. 

We offer a wide range of ideas, from selective waste collection, to energy-saving electricity use, to our root-root sewage treatment. Just keep an open mind and you'll learn a lot from us... And to help, take part in our selective waste collection programme. Let's also make an Earth Day medal together and have fun!

With Eco-Day and the National Holiday, we are looking forward to welcoming all members of the family this weekend with a variety of indoor and outdoor activities!

  •  Our Sunday programmes you can make with us cap spinner and paper spinning wheel also in the spirit of recycling. 

Time to wake up our long-dormant vehicles from their winter sleep! With the arrival of the good weather, our Matyi train and barrel train are back in action to take kids and adults alike for a retro ride!
