December is here, and with it comes the festive spirit!

Over the coming weekends, Katica Farm will be hosting a range of activities that promise a special experience for young and old alike.

6–7 December – Father Christmas is coming

On 6 December, one of the most cherished days of the year, the Father Christmas is coming to visit us again this year. Anyone who has visited the Farm at this time of year knows what a special atmosphere surrounds this day: the children eagerly await its arrival, whilst the adults can relive the joy of that childhood anticipation.

We’ve got some lovely activities lined up until you arrive this afternoon:
• Baking bread in a wood-fired oven
• Visiting and feeding Bora, the youngest resident of the small animal shelter
• Making reindeer and snowflake window decorations using tweezers – for those who find joy in being creative

13–14 December – St Luke’s Day traditions

The following weekend evokes the world of folk traditions. Luca’s Day is one of our most significant days, as countless beliefs and traditions are associated with it: fertility rituals, divination, weather observations and the The famous legend of the Lucas Chair, which was made from seven pieces of wood by midnight on Christmas Eve.
