Although we were unable to welcome guests, life hasn’t stood still here over the past six months either. A lot has happened at Katica Tanya. Our livestock has grown: our youngest little lamb, Bendegúz, was born in February, and in April Lola, the donkey’s foal 20 chicks hatched and came into the world. The rabbits have also been breeding, as have the guinea pigs, so we’ve welcomed many new little pets into our family.
However, we unfortunately have two pieces of sad news to share with you regarding our llama family. Zsófi, our youngest llama, recently passed away suddenly and without warning. We had barely recovered from this when Sacin, our other female llama, went into labour; however, despite the professional care and the efforts of our colleagues, she was unable to give birth to her calf, and we lost them both.
We have been keeping animals for a long time, and we have witnessed many births and deaths alike. Even though we know this is the cycle of life, it still affects us deeply the loss of our beloved pets. We will cherish them in our hearts forever 🙁
