This coming weekend, Veronika Illés will be our guest, and she will introduce us to the secrets of lace-making. Lace is a finely patterned fabric, characterised by the fact that the pattern is not applied to the finished fabric afterwards, but is created as the fabric is being made. Lace-making has a long history, and there are two basic types: sewn lace and bobbin lace. Lace-making has been included in the Hungarian Heritage Register, and thus bears the title of ‘outstanding national treasure’. Come and try your hand at this craft with us!
