Medieval Weekend and World Animal Day at Katica Farm
This coming weekend, the Fehér Holló Medieval Workshop invites everyone to join us on a journey back to the Middle Ages, right here in the heart of Zselic! Visitors to our site can try on armour, wield a battle-axe, have a go at archery, or even try out the stocks and the pillory. You can play an active part in a 13th-century catapult for a demonstration or fencing lesson. Come and visit us to discover the traditions of days gone by!
The World Animal Day holds special significance for us, because then we can draw even more attention to the importance of treating animals responsibly. On our farm poultry, pigeons, goats, sheep, cows, various breeds of pigs, and even llamas, rabbits, meerkats and chinchillas can also be seen. You’ll have the chance to watch them being fed and looked after – and what’s more, with the Simi-Hami you’ve bought, you can even feed them yourself, or watch a milking a cow, which you’re welcome to give a go. You can join in with some group animal care and make an animal mask here with us.
