A significant part of our ancestors’ crafts has now evolved into art. It is up to us to decide what the future holds for these craftspeople and the knowledge they possess. The first – and perhaps most important – step is to get to know them and their creations. The Katica Tanya programme series helps those interested to do just that.

This weekend With master woodcarver Zoltán Gosztonyi Those interested can come along. The Master of Folk Art conjures up decorative items – or even everyday objects – from wood, bone and horn. You may not be able to create such marvels, but you can make a little souvenir for yourself using traditional tools. 

To mark Children’s Day We’re welcoming young and old alike with some fun and games. If that’s not enough of a whirlwind of activities, this is the place for you Whit Monday, when you could be the winner of our skill game to choose the Whitsun King and Queen. If you don’t succeed, don’t be disheartened – everyone can make their own decorative crown.
