St Michael’s Day and a fabulous weekend at the Farm!
This weekend we’re celebrating St Michael’s Day, which is observed throughout Europe farmers’ festival. This day marks an important turning point in the agricultural year. In the Great Plain and the area around Eger, it marks the start of the grape harvest. On St Michael’s Day, the animals that had been taken out to pasture on St George’s Day were brought back from the pastures.
As part of our themed programme for the festival, you could make ‘goodness’ and ‘mischief’ stones with us.
On Saturday 25 September, alongside our themed and regular programmes, Between 13:00 and 17:00, in programmes organised by the police, the civil protection service and the fire service You can also take part in these events, which are held on the lakeside. Find out more HERE You can find out more!
