We look forward to welcoming you to a weekend of folk games!
We’ve got some fun folk games in store for you, as well as a marble maze and a game of ‘mancsozás’, Catch the nut!, and a horseshoe game too. I’m sure you’re also interested in how children used to pass the time before the internet came along.
We promise you won’t be disappointed if you join us this weekend! We’re going to have a brilliant time together, and we hope we’ll get a bit of sunshine too.
But what is this month of March, the month of Lent, really like?
Although the name may seem enigmatic, it simply refers to the fact that March is one of the months of Lent. Lent does indeed usually fall in March. This is particularly true this year, as the first day of Lent, Ash Wednesday, fell in mid-February. Lent, which begins on Ash Wednesday and lasts until Easter Sunday, is observed by the Christian church in remembrance of Jesus’s suffering.
And if you’d like to enjoy a delicious lunch with us this weekend, here’s what’s on offer our culinary offerings:
Tomato soup — Chicken stuffed with dried fruit — Kinder Bueno in a glass
